September 8, 2005....was my last journal. >.> Anyways, went to Otakon 2006. Probably saw alot of you there but didnt realize it since I've never seen your faces. Came back to having about 2000 messages/notes/comments >.> not to mention the 1000+ deviations. I'm gonna have to slowly start uploading some of the crap I've been drawing. Gotta give it time meh. Don't wanna burn out my clicking finger.

"The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time."
~Mark Twain

"It's always around you.... Death is not some childhood closet monster that will disappear when you shut your eyes tightly under the sheets at night. It isn't like other fears that you can conquer just by facing them. On the other hand, it is something you can expect to happen at anytime. The thing that people seem to forget is that you can only truely die once."
~Myself

The reason I'm posting these quotes is because someone close to me recently passed away. He leaves behind a child whom he will never get to raise, and a wife whom he will never marry. At the age of 27, he was stabbed over 16 times by gang members for simply trying to do the right thing when others wouldn't.

100% of your gallery appears to be traced. Why don't you save us some time and drama and delete all this shit yourself?
:iconkarusuman:
You could probably save us the time and drama by actually reading Submission rules and etiquette on deviantART before posting things like this.

Which part am I supposed to read exactly?

The part here [link] where it says:
"Respect Your Fellow Artists - Your deviations must be your own original creations and you may only use resources which are considered legitimate and legal. Submissions which make use of works without proper permission or licensing by the original author will be removed as they come to the attention of the staff."

Or maybe this part [link] where it says:
"Such referenced or inspired works must have been created completely through the efforts of the artist in question and must not directly contain any portions of the referenced work, should not show any evidence of being directly traced, re-colored, or ';painted-over' and should not reproduce the original in exacting detail."

Maybe there's a part where it says "steal anything you want, as long as it's sexy you're cool" but I can't find it.

No, actually it was a reference to FAQ #572: What does deviantART consider "Fan Art" to be?

And the other part would be quoted from deviantART Etiquette found [link] <- here.

For which the part I quote

Prohibited Commentary

Prohibited commentary is typically considered to be inherently disrespectful, aggressive, or otherwise abusive.

And for more in-depth look on what I was referring to...

Comments which are overly aggressive, personally insulting or needlessly abusive are also prohibited.

So your spiel on your personal feelings on how the artist has drawn his/her fan art should be kept to yourself if you are unable to say it without being an ass about it.

I'm simply reacting in kind - this guy is rude to me, I'm rude in return.

Personally I think it's rude to submit traced images into any category that has the word "drawing" in it, but all that aside the guy claims that it's all freehand just a few comments below this. That's just an outright lie. It's not my personal opinion that it's traced - it's empirical fact.

It would be one thing if he said "here's a thing I traced to work on my mechanical shading skills" but he says "here's a thing I drew". That is lying and serious misrepresentation of his skill as an artist. If this isn't one of the cases where it "may" be unacceptable to trace images then what the hell is?

And yeah, I'm being aggressive. A little aggression is called for when someone lies to your face. I don't think it is excessive or needless.

Your art is scary good sir.

Great work, I do agree with the latter comments. That mithra for sure i know is a hentai doujin. if you didnt trace it, you have excellent hand eye coordination. if you put the original over it it'll fit perfectly ^^ i can link you to the original work that you did a "Fanart" of. i cant find anything original in your gallery. I've seen these in art books. Not that its bad. with this skill it would be really interesting to see if you can apply it to something original. Good luck.
